Time for... sightseeing!

After having recovered from my quite scary experience with our toilet flush yesterday (this flat’s getting more and more suspicious to me), I spent a beautiful Saturday today. We – which means my flatmate Katharina and me – went sightseeing to the Atomium.
From the inside, what we liked best about the huge ferric molecule replica were the long tubes with the stairmovings, the rest was not that extraordinarily impressive; anyway, we enjoyed the afternoon very much, having a great view over the sunlit city (summer’s fortunately seeming to start a comeback attempt).

Afterwards we had a delicious Kriek (my first one since my arrival) while meeting a real Viking (in fact a costumed mad soon-to-be-married and even-sooner-to-be-totally-juiced young man) before we went to search for old mut Zinnekinpis, who we finally found far away from his owner near Place St. Géry, respectlessly doing his pee onto a stanchion.

So, what we can conclude from today is that Brussels seems to hold nice places to stay, strange people and gorgeous moments for us in readiness.

Hallo Andrea!

Liebe Grüße
-Marie-
